As a Freshman, I’m a member of the varsity track team at George Ranch High School, a 6A school located in Richmond, TX. I participate in pole vault, the 200M, the 400M, the 800M, the 4x400M, the SMR and the DMR. I broke the school record that I set in the 800M with a 2:20 at the Area Meet. I run the mile in 5:50, the 400M in 60, the 200M in 26 and the 100M in 12.
I also play volleyball at George Ranch High School. I'm a Setter, DS, RS, OH and I have played club volleyball since 2014 and am currently with Houston Skyline Juniors. My primary position is Setter, and when I am setting, I like to involve all the hitters and utilize the talent of the entire team to win. In the past, when my teams have needed me, I have played MB because of my jumping ability. I was a starter, team captain, and played all the way around at my previous club and on JV. I consider myself a leader and know that my attitude on the court directly impacts my teammates.
I condition during the summers, winter and spring breaks. I also enjoy playing beach volleyball, and have played club and school volleyball for 3 years as well as club soccer for 9 years. I began playing soccer at 5 because I was too young to join track. Soccer has prepared me to excel in track. I am fortunate to have athletic ability, but my drive and determination to be the best when I condition and participate in any of my sports is what separates me from the rest. I promise I am coachable and will work hard!
As a member of National Junior Honor Society, I maintained an “A” average and had 4 high school credits before entering my Freshman year. I am interested in attending a college that will allow me to study exercise science/pre-physical therapy while running track or playing volleyball.
