That's Lavon Long attacking the rim.
2) Lavon Long – A tweener type player at around 6’6” and weighing 220 pounds, Lane thrives when taking larger players to the cup, or shooting over smaller ones, particularly from mid-range. Will accept contact. Must work on defending the perimeter better for college. Can handle the rock like a half court three man, particularly in terms of a couple of dribbles to the rim, while also finding people. Oakland Mills (MD), Class of 2013.

Lavon Long, 2013, F, Mount St. Joseph (Mid-Atlantic Select): Long (6’6″) is very versatile, and handled the ball well in transition after grabbing defensive rebounds. He made good decisions with the ball, and did not force the issue on offense. Long also showed some good range with his spot-up outside jumper. Edgar Walker
Lavon Long will be leaving Mount St. Joseph's for his senior season. Playing with AAU squad Mid-Atlantic Select, Long has amassed double-digit offers and is beginning to visit interested schools. But first he has to decide which high school he'll be attending, although the 6-foot-6 prospect is playing with Oakland Mills in the St. Paul's Summer League.
• Mount St. Joseph 2013 forward Lavon Long (Mid-Atlantic Select) has racked up double-digit offers. Rider and Fairfield are the latest to offer, and coaches were very high on the versatile 6-6 wing prospect at Philly Jam Fest.
His value is based on his physical tools and motor. He's long, athletic, and mobile and a live body around both rims to finish and block shots. He runs the court well, is quick and mobile but still strong in his upper body. He can handle and pass some facing the basket, and gives opposing defenders problems with his dominant left hand. He's a diligent rebounder and potentially versatile defender.
His skill set is just starting to catch up with his athleticism and right now the majority of his impact comes in direct correlation to his size, motor & athleticism. While he can make an occasional mid-range jumper, he can also be turnover prone when trying to make things happen facing the basket and doesn't appear interested in being a low-post player.
He's a late blooming hybrid type who has immediate value with his size, strength, and mobility and some developing southpaw skill with his ability to face, bounce, and pass.
