Offseason Training Begins with the New Orleans Saints

I have just arrived in New Orleans and very excited about the offseason training that begins tomorrow. For the past 3 months I've been working out with my personal trainer and some friends that play in the NFL, College, and other professional sports. Entering my 7th season, I've had a lot of ups and downs. I've had a knee surgery, shoulder surgery, thigh bruise, and a sprained foot over those years. It was frustrating but I never stopped working.  The NFL is a NOT FOR LONG business so I'm blessed to still be able to play the game that I love. I'm excited about seeing my teammates again and the opportunity to compete. Tomorrow we will be lifting weights and conditioning. I'll let you know how it goes. Everyday is another opportunity to get better. Let's Go!

Today was a great day! It was great seeing my teammates again and getting back to work. The defense lifted  weights first, we had a good team meeting, and then the offense lifted weights and conditioned after the meeting. We did an upper body workout consisting of dumbbell bench press, pull ups, curls, dips, lateral raise, etc. We did one explosive exercise which was box jumps. For our conditioning we did 8 half gassers which had to be done between 15-17 seconds. We are all on the same page and the goal is to get better everyday. There has been a lot of things going on with the Saints organization but we are putting those things behind us and moving forward. Who Dat.
