My Name is Benjamin Ernest Williams, I will be a senior this coming year at Foster High School with about a 3.1 GPA. Currently, I am 5' 10" , 186 lbs and consistently run around 4.4 but have been clocked faster.
My Journey is bigger than me, after the lost of my sister few years ago; I've learned that she lives through me.(No Regrets!) I live to succeed , not only for myself but for others who have always believed in me.
What's not shown in my profile is the information between the lines. I have always been the fastest person on my past teams; all through little league from Colorado to Texas. Since the age of 7. I was told, they always put their best athletes on defense and that was why I wasn't allowed to run the ball. While at the same time, I heard coaches, all the way up through Jr. High; tell others they need to run the ball like me at practice.
Then finally, a coach gave me a chance, and I didn't let him down, with over 22 TDs, my first year as a full time RB. That was just 3 yrs ago. I am bigger and faster now. I am that player, that if you want it; I will get it for you. (my "Former" varsity head coach, "Coach Wiatrik", said I was what they call a game changer) I know I still have a lots to learn and I am a open book ready to store the knowledge.
What those other coaches didn't realize is that they just prepared me to be tougher and smarter for the next level! Now, I know what the "Hunter" thinks on defense; no one got by me as a Safety or OLB. . Now, I am on the other side of that ball with a ravenous appetite. I am like a kid in a candy store with no limits. With that said, I have hope that at the next level your organization can see my heart and give me a chance at my dream. (No Regrets!)
I'm glad to hear that Ben! That's the best feeling when the game starts being slow to you because that means you are confident about what you're doing and you understand how to run the football. Keep doing your thing! I know you're going to have a big year. Most importantly, keep having fun!
How well do you catch the ball out of the backfield? Also, put in work on pass blocking (picking up the blitz). That will be something that can separate you from the rest of the running backs. Coaches love that!
